Volunteer Deal Finders, Uncover the Best Offers Across Town

Love a bargain? Even better, love sharing one? We're building a volunteer team of sharp-eyed Deal Finders who actively seek out the genuinely good offers, discounts, and promotions running at businesses across St Albans and Harpenden, and bring them back to the platform so the whole community can benefit. This isn't about scraping discount codes off the internet. It's about real, local intelligence: knowing which café on the high street is running a 2-for-1 on Tuesdays, which independent shop has a summer clearance on, which fitness studio just launched a newcomer offer, or which deli is doing a lunchtime special that never gets posted online. **What the role involves** - Regularly checking in with local businesses: in person, by phone, or through their social media, to spot active deals and promotions - Submitting deals to The Social Martini platform with clear details: what it is, where to find it, how long it runs, any conditions - Being the first to know: building good relationships with local business owners so they come to you with upcoming offers - Verifying deals before submitting: we only list things that are real, current, and genuinely valuable - Covering a specific patch of St Albans or Harpenden so we don't miss a thing: the market area, the St Peter's Street corridor, the Fleetville neighbourhood, Harpenden High Street, and more **What we're looking for** - A love for local: you know the shops, the cafés, the restaurants, and you genuinely enjoy exploring them - People skills, business owners need to feel comfortable sharing offers with you; warmth and trustworthiness go a long way - An eye for a genuine deal: not just 'offer' stickers, but things that actually make a difference to someone's week or month - Basic digital literacy, you'll need to submit deals through a simple online form and occasionally grab a photo for us - Reliability and consistency, even one solid submission per week makes a real difference to the community **What you'll get** - Recognition on the platform as a named, verified Deal Finder, the community will know you by name - First access to the best deals you find before they go live to everyone else - A chance to directly help local residents save money and support local businesses - Monthly Deal Finder meetups (coffee and catch-ups, usually at a partner venue) - A glowing volunteer reference from The Social Martini team for your CV This is a volunteer role, no salary, but the impact is immediate and very real. Every deal you submit could save a local family money, introduce someone to a shop they've never tried, or help a small business reach customers it wouldn't otherwise have found. That's worth something.
