We think “social” got hijacked.
Somewhere along the way, “social” stopped meaning people in a room together and started meaning people staring at screens in a room alone. The Social Martini exists to take the word back.
We're not another mindless-scroll social network. We're the opposite of one. We're not asking for your attention. We're asking for your Saturday, your physical presence.
Local & Social, the way it used to work.
Before apps, "local" meant walkable. The bakery on the corner. The market you could get to before it packed up. The event you heard about because your neighbour mentioned it over the fence. That's the world we're rebuilding, one where "nearby" still means personally near me, and "social" means standing next to someone, not scrolling past them.
Everything here has a postcode you can walk to.
Our deals aren't discount codes for a warehouse three counties away. They're offers from the shop down the road, made to be claimed in person, today. Our events aren't a global calendar with a filter. They're built tribe by tribe, town by town, so what you see in St Albans is actually happening in St Albans, not livestreamed from somewhere you'll never go.

Every feature we build gets one test: does this get someone out of their house and into their town? If a deal can be claimed from the sofa, we've built it wrong. If an event doesn't need you to physically show up, it's not for us.
